"Always speak the language of your time" - the creative credo of Stefania Turkevich, says musicologist Lyubov Kiyanovska.

Stefania Turkevych studied with prominent European composers, became the first doctor of musicology in Galicia, wrote more than 100 opuses, including symphonies, ballets, chamber music, works for children.

Historical vicissitudes brought Stefania Turkevich to Great Britain. Only in recent years has Ukraine discovered the work of this composer.

Exclusive online lectures by musicologists of the Galician Music Society, who introduce us to the first Ukrainian composer Stefania Turkevych. Recordings of premieres of Stefania Turkevych's works performed in the Organ Hall at the end of 2020: Symphony G1 and music from the ballet "Hands" performed by the Ukrainian Festival Orchestra conducted by Ivan Ostapovych.
